Prof. Yong Xiao served as a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Arizona, and concurrently as the Center Manager of the Broadband Wireless Access and Applications Center (BWAC), which is supported by the NSF Industry-University Cooperative Research Center (IUCRC) program. He received his Bachelor of Engineering degree from China University of Geosciences in 2002. In 2006, he received his Master of Science degree from the School of Electronic, Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. In 2012, he received his Ph.D. degree from the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. After obtaining his Ph.D., he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the CONNECT Research Centre (formerly CTVR) at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland, the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and the University of Houston.
