Prof.Hongbo Jiang is a Member of Academia Europaea (MAE), Fellow of the IET, BCS, AAIA, and AIIA, and holds a Ph.D. from Case Western Reserve University, USA. He is currently a Distinguished Professor at Hunan University, Director of the Hunan Provincial Key Laboratory of Trustworthy Systems and Networks, and the CDTO of China State Construction International Holdings Limited. Additionally, he serves as an Editor for several prestigious international journals, including IEEE/ACM Transactions on Networking (ToN), IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing (TMC), ACM Transactions on Sensor Networks (TOSN), IEEE Transactions on Network Science and Engineering (TNSE), IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems (T-ITS), and IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology (TVT).

With over 200 academic publications to his credit, including 96 papers in IEEE/ACM Transactions journals and 21 papers at CCF-A-ranked international conferences, Prof. Jiang has made significant contributions to foundational research. His work has been recognized with the IEEE Computer Society Best Paper Award (2024), the Hunan Provincial Natural Science Award (Second Class), and the Hunan Computer Society Science and Technology Award (First Class, three times).

He has led more than 20 national and provincial-level research projects, including key initiatives under China's National Key R&D Program and the National Natural Science Foundation of China. His research outcomes have been successfully applied in intelligent platforms and systems such as those operated by China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC), China Unicom, China Communications Construction Company (CCCC), State Grid Corporation of China, IBM Watson IoT Platform (USA), and TGW SmartPocket System (Europe), supporting industrial monitoring, environmental sensing, and public health applications. His achievements have earned him the Wu Wenjun AI Science and Technology Progress Award (First Class) and the Hunan Computer Society Higher Education Teaching Achievement Award (Special Prize)
